We are really excited to be putting on a lovely evening of poetry and comedy to celebrate a new collection of poems by Carol Robson titled “Finding Me” which will be a preview of her upcoming performance at the Ilkley Literature Festival Fringe show in October.
‘Carol will talk about and read her poetry that relates to her life, coming to terms with her Gender Identity and Sexuality, some from her first collection Words of Darkness and Light which reflect the journey she has made to finding herself. Plus some of her latest eclectic poetry.’
Support comes from comedian and writer Chella Quint who will be performing some of her work as well as being our compere for the evening, alongside poetry from Sarah Thomasin who is a local queer performance poet.
We will be collecting donations on the door for VIDA (formally the Sheffield Domestic Abuse Forum) which is a local organisation Carol would like to support with this event.
Friday 13th September from 8pm at the Harland Cafe (FB event)
