film screenings – charlotte met with joan at the showroom to discuss the kate bornstein film and the audre lorde film. agreed to get hold of copies to check politics, could check with london group who recently screened KB. joan seemed to think this might work as part of the LGBT series that was being organised or a film studies series via the uni. AL film could be included as part of black history month. keen to link up with gender research network. film unit at sheff uni have also contacted us about collaborating on screenings which could work if we cant arrange at the showroom.
library link up – dan emailed us about helping to promote their series of events as part of off the shelf, cara will ask for more details about workshop leaders and enquire about a copy of the book. will all events be open to all or restricted to women only etc?
kate bush gig – the fates are confirmed to sing three acapella songs, and laura burn acaster has contacted us – charlotte will confirm details with her shortly. we will keep posting reminders on fb and twitter. charlotte will contact some bands re this show and also the street eaters gig in nov. cara will email ravioli me away to ask.
off the shelf – discussed splitting the events over two evenings to have the panel event and live gig. alternative option would be to have an acoustic easy set up gig or djing and more of a social. charlotte will ask about using the showroom cafe/bar for this. depending on this, cara can contact coffee rev to discuss dates and have drinks at harrisons afterwards. will chase rosie about replying to harley email.
charities for nov – options so far raised include candyp / haven house / wicat / ashiana. katherine will do some checking and report back. cara to chase emails re using the library room at QMH.
aug 24th gig – cara to chase tech/accom issues. charlotte will ask jonny re food.
chalk walk – publicise on fb/twitter.
