Q. Who is running the event and can anyone get involved?
A. LaDIYfest Sheffield is organised by a collective of volunteers, primarily women, but all genders are welcome to get involved.
Q. Are men welcome?
A. Yes men are very welcome to help out with the organisation of LaDIYfest and attend the event.
Q. Will LaDIYFest be trans inclusive?
A. Yes one of our aims is to make everyone feel welcome as an artist/performer or as an attendee. We do not exclude, define or label people.
Q. Where are the funds for this event coming from?
A. Since this is self funding event organised by a community group, the money to finance LaDIYfest Sheffield will be raised via events, which you will be able to find details about in the fundraisers section. All the money we raise after operating costs will be donated to support our chosen organisation. In 2013 we were paid for our involvement in the Hidden Perspectives project which is helping us fund lots of ongoing events. At the end of each year we publish financial records on this blog so feel free to have a look!
